Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

money, money, money

money, money, money

I hate logistics. And I'm very bad at them. Without getting overly personal about our finances I figured we would have a lot of inquiry about how we are funding this trip. So I'll give you guys a general outline as to how we are doing it.

How we are making it happen:

1. Savings- one huge perk of living in a non-city? Cost of living. In Provo, Utah you can live well on a lot less than in most cities. So we have been aggressively saving money and decided that before we buy a house, we will make this trip happen.

2. Freelance work- Jenna has been saying yes to a lot more Graphic Design work than usual, which will help us with the whole "not getting a paycheck" thing.

3. Airbnb- when you stay long-term (a month or more) at an Airbnb often the owners of the home will allow a discount for extended stay.

4. Free under 2- Ralph is currently under 2 and is free to fly (with the exception of taxes which you have to pay when flying to another country). We opted to chance it (we are terrified) and did not buy Ralph a seat to Paris. Wish us luck, there is a decent chance we will be regretting this.

Like everything else, I will post more of the financial side of things as we go, but we will be figuring this out along the way :)
